Design 148 18 LOA Sailing Canoe

I was very interested to research this design as I found it very hard to believe we actually designed an 18 canoe as part of our portfolio. As I suspected, we were commissioned only to design a sailing rig for a "stock" canoe as can be seen by the plan list. The year was 1936.


The only thing that seems missing would be a sliding seat or some way to get ones weight outboard in order to keep this enormous sail plan upright.

The plan is a bit tattered, and the poor reproduction is due to the fact we pulled this scan from our microfiche files.
