Design 1908 Sandpiper

One of 17 boats built by Sangermani of Italy to our design over the years Sandpiper is as nicely built as the rest of them. (You can find other Sangermani boats within these pages). She was designed strictly as a roomy cruising yacht. Please note the navigators "stateroom" aft of the nav area. And as was very common for boats being shipped to America, the lifting bridle to make putting her on a ship an easy job. She was launched in 1968 and destined for California.
Sandpiper is constructed of iroko framing and backbone and mahogany planking. Fasteners are of silicon bronze.
